People Running MBC *non n00b*
Ok i got my FMIC yesterday and got up early and installed it. I have a question, i noticed a boost drop with the new FMIC / pipe. I also got a MBC. OK before you go on about how MBC are evil, im not going to turn it up or whatnot, I just want it to even it out. not push MAD HP YO!! PSSAHHHH
THE QUESTION: How do i run the MBC lines, and what is a safe PSI to run. The damn instructions print ran out of toner or somethign is fucked with the drum cartridge and i cant read it. :[ I couldnt find any when i searched.

I have the GIAC, green temp sensor, cone air filter mod, and custom turbo-back exhaust.

First you should check your piping, you shouldn't have a noticable pressure drop with a fmic.
Here is how i am running mine, it's nice and smooth through the whole power band. It's the same as johnyb's diagrahm.

There is no point in using a mbc with a k03. There is also no point in using a fmic with a k03 unless youuse a tiny fmic with stock diameter piping. The pressure drop isnt worth the cooler boost, and there should be no crazy boost spikes or fluctuations with the stock turbo/tuning/stock boost controller (n75). Search "running mbc in line with n75" and youll find a good diagram on how to hook it up. Good luck with all that.... Sounds like a cluster ****.

The stock intercooler gets heatsoaked with just a couple runs in a car pushing higher than stock psi. Since most people like fmic's (they dont have to have a huge core) instead of the tyrolsport or soon to come boostfactory ugsmic's thats what you get. But yes, 2" piping is what you should have, anything more or to large of a core you will see some boost drop (1 to 2psi). And yesm the dramaticly lower iat makes it more than worth it. The set up before is the "over boost" method that boostvalve posts with it ball and spring valve.
I have a couple set ups in the links in my sig. look them both over and you should be ok. And limit, keep it around 20psi.
