its funny how people on here say dont go ebay...
ebay is one of the best places to buy things as long as your smart about it. In this case, the 2.8 chips on ebay are nothing special. They wont do anything for your car. This is pretty much the only item on ebay that is junk. I would look into the ebay intake for a 2.8, its very nice and gives your car a nice sound, and for fifty bucks shipped to your door you cant really beat it. The chrome mirror caps on ebay are also a bargain. They install perfectly and look amazing on my car. The m3 lip that already factory painted is also an amazing item on ebay, 60 bucks shipped already painted the exact color of your car, cant really beat that. I have been doing business on ebay for over 7 years now and as long as your a smart consumer you have nothing to worry about.
But negative on that chip. If you get any chip for your 2.8 I would go after the GIAC one, they claim 10hp and 10lbs of torque at the wheel, and its 400 bucks. For a naturally aspirated motor thats quite a gain... again, this is why we dont really mod our 2.8 for speed, it was audis luxury line of the a4, the 1.8 is the cheap model.

I was going to put Halo's in the list, but there are a couple styles that arent bad, but beware of sealing issues in the housings. Moisture gets in and fogs up.

You forgot you can also buy some women's virginity on ebay. So whether its adding more air flow to your vehicle or poppin some chicks cherry, do it ebay. When it comes to ecu stuff, dont go cheap ever, thats like goin to south east dc for a hooker with Herpasyhpagohnalitis.
