yea short of a supercharger the 2.8 is worthless for modding and power and i dont know about that wood grain thing you might be able to get some from a totaled car and swap it over

so if i bought a 1998 1.8 turbo and put a GIAC chip in it and a air intake it would be faster than a stock 1998 2.8

You don't need to change the intake on a 1.8T. In fact, it's a waste of money to change it. Just chip it, and you'll be faster than any stock 2.8

um...yeah like stated above a chiped 1.8t will give you 205hp/245tq and a stock 2.8 only puts out 190hp/207tq. and the intake wont give you any power

Well 0-60 I would approximate at around 6.5 seconds.

1/4 mile time low 15's, maybe high 14's.

Dude, I drive a 2.8, and not a day goes by that I don't wish I had the 1.8, theres nothing for these cars, well nothing that is worth the money, Get the 1.8 and chip it. you won't be dissapointed. as for the wood, take the money you will save from not haveing to mod a 2.8 and buy it.

www.lltek.com... they go on over it but thats all i know of on the lines of that

id never trust any of those press on trim kits... im sure they turn out like **** [:'(]
