Default Performance Sites

Hey everyone. What sites do you all frequent for purchasing your performance parts? I know there's Greddy, Neuspeed, Pro-imports, TAP and several others. What are some other sites you have been to, bought from etc.. Who else do you reccomend? How did you hear about them?

i hate to sound like such a girl (which of course i am) but which parts are best to boost performace without doing serious mods. i wouldnt mind a lil more horsepower to the car, but i don't want to void my warranty. also, when posting a response, if u could kind of explain what the parts do, that would be helpful. i want to become more knowledgeable! lol. thanks!

You can't put anything on your car to boost performance without the chance of voiding your warranty.
Audi dealers are notorious for trying to sam you of your warranty because you put aftermarket parts on your car.

The easiest thing to add is an aftermarket chip in your ECU (engine computer). You send off your ECU (car not drivable then) to a tuner overnight, they solder in the new chip (or socket with chip) and overnight it back to you. Now you have an extra 50 hp approx. Difference is night and day - but it will void your warranty if, say, your turbo happens to die or your timing belt breaks.

I have dealt with all of them except for Avalon. Though I know people that have dealt with them.

Ok. Brrman, I actually put in request with Shokan for a used part. We'll see, hopefully the've got it. Audigirlie, one option would be to buy another ECU. It's a bit more expensive than just chipping, but if you have to take it back to the dealer you just switch back to your factory ECU. How much of your warranty is left?

Hey Doose, use eBay!! AudiGirlie, to hell with the dealerships, bolt-on performance upgrades are a good way to get horsepower. And if something bad does happen you can swap out the performance part with the stock part before going to the dealership. also in agreement with everyone else, a chip is a surefire way to go. i remember reading at some componies website that there chip is undetectable to dealerships. i'll get back to you on that one.

I believe that would be Revo.

APR has the real time changeable programs, as does GIAC. Giac also has a socket system where you can change the chips in the same ECU.
