I just purchased my first Audi. An 01 A4 with the 2.8. Looking to do some very suttle performance upgrades to gain a bit more HP. Any suggestions very appreciated. TY

 

for the 2.8 there isnt much you can chip but you only gain about 10hp, exaust, suspension...you can superhcarge it but thats $5000 not exactly cheap

If you want to do some nice Subtle mods, I would reccomend a nice lip spoiler, a nice setof wheels, xenons, and a chip to get you to a whopping 200HP. Don't be sad though, you do probably have real leather, wood trim, and some nice window chrome.

 

I think a nice exhaust would be pleasant - make that 2.8 sound decent (if not go fast). With the 2.8 it's really all about looks. Get some really nice wheels and the McCulloch HID upgrade (to xenons). The McCulloch HID kit is by far the best.

At least you got a 30v 2.8. 12v people are boned as far as go fast upgrades...

You could supercharge your 2.8 to the tune of 2,500 for a used kit...

 

as wood_e said, supercharger for under $3k used, but thats really the only thing that's gonna make your car much faster. The 2.8 doesn't even really tag on that much extra HP.

 

Inless you have a boat load of money and someone to do a massive overhaul on the front end then its possible to get a nice setup. Seem 1 that had 5 something in it but thats out of my price range for sometime to come.
