which of the two would you perfer if buying new rims in the spring time? What do u guys think handles better 17s or 18s? i hear the bigger the better but i would think too big would obviously be bad. None of the links work. 17s are best performance wise, but 18s would look better because they would fill more of the wheel well. If pot holes are a problem where you live, that's another reason to go 17.

 

+1 man i mean its obvious that 17's will performe better, less rolling distance and less mass is better for acceleration and all, but 18's deff look better

 

The bigger the rim size the more top speed you will have, and worse your brakes will be. Not to mention the 18's are more expensive and will likely be messed up if you hit a pothole because the tire has to be really thin. But its your car and everyone has theor own opinion of what they like. I have have 17's on my car and they fit real nice.

 

I would say 18's would perform better. Better handling. As far as less rolling distance that depends on what tire you are running. Personally 18's are the way to go on all accounts IMHO.

If you wanna drag 14's if you want better handling fo widder if you wanna be big pimpin 24's

 

Acceleratoin wise, go with the 17's. Just get a lower profile and wider tire for better handling.

18's for the look. Unless you're pushing 300hp.

 

225 45 17 is the correct odometer size..anything different and it wont read corretly.... but honestly its hardly noticeable so who cares
