I have a 2000 a4 1.8t quattro, how much difference would it make if i just put a ko4 turbo on it without any other modifications, with a chip?

Stage 1 KO4 setup gives you about 70whp and performance is dependent on whether you have drive by wire or non drive by wire. You may need to upgrade to better DV, get a FMIC, and a full flow exhaust system.....the cost of the KO4 is about $5000....i would rather just chip it because you get a 40-50hp gain for about $500....saves you money.....but if you want the KO4 you will def. feel power, raw power!

I agree chipped

K03 = $500 + $30DV = +45 hp my 01 is at 214 hp

ko4 = $4-5000 = +75 hp my 01 would be at 244 hp

is 30 hp worth the extra $3500-4500?

or do I not know what I'm talking about?

A k04 setup is not $4-5k!!!

If you buy the parts seperate, unlike many k04 "kits", you shoulndt have to spend more than $2-3k for a full setup, including fpr, injectors, software, turbo, and exhaust.

You can get a k04 for $750 new, injectors maybe $300 (idk for sure), exhuast $200-$700 depending on whether its custom or not, fpr $50 max, software $600(?). Do the math. Even if you get a FMIC you should still be under or at about $3k if you are an informed buyer.
