So, i was giving a friend a ride somewhere in Ivyland, Pa......and I saw the mothership!!! PES engine performance headquarters!!!
Anyway, I always dream of getting a SC for my 2003 3.0. and it makes it soooo much more tempting since its like 20min from my house. I feel like i should go there everyday and bring them coffee or smthing in hopes for a deal hahahahah. Anyway, how practical would this thing be? You guys think it would be worth it or more of a hassle then anything? mmmmmmmmmmm supercharged v6, i love the idea of it!

 

If you bring them coffe and donuts every morning next 100 years, they could do it for free i think.

Yes it will worth. I went lots of hassle and problems on my BT project but it worth it in the end. You'll feel like you have a brand new car.

 

What I heard was if you have tiptronic, you can't do it because it can't handle the SC. *sigh*... I want one too but... damn tiptronic.

 

I BELIEVE IT........But dont stress, you still drive a nice car with a great motor!!!!

is there anyonehere whohas done this tranny upgrade? any inputs? how its done, how long is turn around or cost of maintenance?

 

I got a G3 supercharger installed on my 2003 A4 3.0 with Tiptronic. It was done by the guys in Ivyland. Overall I have to say that they make a great product and their service is exceptional. The guys at PES say they sell roughly half of their superchargers to Tiptronic drivers, with no problems. My problem is that my Tiptronic wasn't up to it. I suspect that it did a lot of city driving (stop and go) which will eventually cause premature transmission failure. My other clue to city driving comes from a set of shot front struts from those Philly potholes. Anyway, the supercharger goes like hell but I get some transmission slipping and overreving. I'd recommend getting an IPT transmission:

They're closer to Philly and they seem to have a better grasp on transmission upgrading than the guys at Level10:
