Well it wasn't too hard to do this mod and damn does it look good!
1.First of i took off the grill from the car.
2. there are 6 clips all on the top of the grill. push them in and when they are all out a bit pull up from the bottem to pull the grill out of the hood.
3. first thing i did was wash it.
4.Then will 150 grit sand paper i gave the chrome pieces a little texture.
5. Washed the grill again and let it dry
6. Then i primed the grill with primer.
7. Let it sit for 2 hours, then took 320 grit sand paper (lightly) to the primer to give the paint something to hold onto.
8. coat 1, let sit 1 hr
9. coat 2, let sit 1 hr
10. coat 3, let sit 1 hr.
11. reinstall the grill

I do not have a picture of the grill on the car becuse it started to rain here. I will post pictures on the car with the new grill tomorrow.
P.S. I debadged the car last week also so i will post pictures of that as well.

Thanks. and one thing i forgot to mention. you need to put something behind your hood pull and paint that to match the grill or it will look weird.

Pics on your car now. I bet it looks great. I'm gonna have to try this in lieu of an RS4 grill.

i used painter's touch spray paint. 1 coat of primer and 3 coats of FLAT black paint. No clear coat. Not sure how long term this application will be. I think it will be fine though.

i'm going to have to clear coat mine, otherwise i think it would look ricey, because i have a black car. did you prep the plastic fins at all or just the chrome? you painted the fins, right?
