brrman - so if i have a 98 a4 and i want to get 18' rims on it you will advice this upgrade as well... where can i get this parts and what is the average cost. As far as durability how my years are we looking at on the new shocks.

apg96: is your suspension stock? is it lowered?

 

 

I can almost guarantee your not going to find a picture of an audi with 18's and not lowered.. first off its too embarrassing to even do second off, no one would dare to take a pic if they had theres like that, once again too damn ugly.. and third if somebody did i dont think they would show it.

 

i just put 18s on my car and have the stock suspention. when i get off my lazy *** ill take some pics

 

brrman posted pics of his car w/18s on stock suspension not too days ago, just search the forums and you'll find it..

 

Thanks for all the input fellas!! I really appreciate it. I guess I’m gonna have to scratch the thought of even putting 18’s on stock suspension for two reasons: 1. Based on the input it’ll look like s*it and 2. I just registered my Audi at the DMV (in NY State) and taxes and registration set me back $1140. Therefore I can’t afford to swing the cash for a suspension set up and the wheels right now.
So tell me, will 17s’ work on stock suspension? Or will that look just as bad or am I better off just staying with my stock wheels……Thanks for the responses

 

everything looks a little funny with the stock suspension, even your 16s...but 17s won't be much different than the 16s are...if you have the sport suspension (red springs i believe) than it'll look fine...if you have non-sport...it's gonna look like a 4x4 no matter what..

 

I just ordered my 18" today and next week by this time i will be ordering my suspensions too. Don't worry I will surely put some pictures up
