Just as the topic stated, my 99 1.8T has begun to **** ( no understatement) oil...engine oil. i looked inside, and found that below the intake manifold, on the block there is quite the bit of oil...possiblities?? help guys.

 

oil filler cap
rocker gasket
cylinder head gasket
oil breather pipes

 

checkd under the car....the oil has also spread to my transmission, there is oil all over it...and some has managed to get on my exhaust piping.....there is no leaking to the left *under the turbo* its all under the right...*intake manifold* does that narrow it down at all? i also checked the oil filter....snug as a bug. where be these oil breather pipes?

 

cam end seals front and rear possibly being blown to the gearbox by the wind while driving, spark plug seals which is part of the rocker gasket set, it might be worth cleaning the engine the look for the leak

 

how much money do you suppose it would take to fix this,, labor and parts. ??

 

first you need to find the leak to put a cost on it, a simple seal costs a few $, a rocker gasket and head gasket set is also cheap but labour intensive unless you do it your self, to be honest its impossible to give a costing without knowing where the leak is put some pictures up of the area you say is wettest from the leak we might see something your missing you never know
