Default planning to install a DV....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

How's this one? I read about the sticked thread about different DVs in the Tech section, but still don't know which to choose for my 02 1.8T FWD.

I also want a little turbo noise after installing a DV, is that possible? How hard is it to install? How much will the labor run if I bring to a shop.

Thanks in advance

I am planning to chip it at the same time, trying to do it at a GIAC authorized service center here in Atlanta. Do u guys have any idea how much it will cost me? Do they install DVs also?

02 Ming blue A4 1.8T FWD, BBS RA wheels, 8000k HID, everything else stock

I have about $2g to spend on this baby, and i am thinking to start with a chip and DV... any suggestions?

chipping your car will make your turbo louder (it nearly doubles the boost i believe)..if you don't plan on doing any major mods after the chip, you can get the audi 710N dv for 35 bucks at a dealership. they are fairly easy to replace yourself, it's just two hose clamps

And I'm sure the shop where you have the GIAC chip installed will install the DV valve for about 25-50 bucks labour if you don't want to get grease under your fingernails.

GIAC/APR.

I happen to have an APR chip as the tuner could get me in weeks earlies than the local GIAC place.

You can either remove your ECU and mail it in, or find local shops.

Unless you are planning to eventially go for a K04 turbo, either chip is fine. Go with the one available closer to you.

If you go to GIAC and APR main sites they have locators which will point you to the nearest shop that can install it for you.
