Ok so here is the deal. My car got broken into, stolen and recovered. They popped the ignition and door handle on my 99 audi a4. The dealer said they could get me a new key and ignition by my vin number but i am thinking about getting a whole different key, door lock and ignition. Can someone please let me know if this is compatible to my audi a4? or if anyone has any other ideas that would be great.

i'm not sure this is the right forum to put it in...should i post this message in a different forum?...i really need help..so if anyone could help me out that would be amazing as I am a new audi owner and i'm coming from a saturn...so its a completely different world now.

I think that should work and if it were me id change the whole set up cuz they may have got your vin and had a key made

 

If insurance is paying, take it to the dealer and have them change your entire setup.

 

^^^ for sure there is a kit you can buy comes with all new lock cylinders and keys
