It's expensive... Most people don't look after it properly & pleather is easier to look after. If you like me & have custom leather seats, you have give the leather a drink every month or so.

Well they do use leather now. Leatherette is phased out.

I love the leatherette because I have a dog and even though I keep the backseat covered when he's in the car, it's nice to know that if I ever need to just throw him in there for something or the cloth slips I don't have to worry about it getting scratched. Idiot audi salesman tried to tell me leather was more durable, but I disagree. My parents car has real leather, my mom had her 2 dogs in it for a 5 mile drive to the vet and the backseat is allllllll scratched up.

I think some people think that to prove you have money you need to have leather, but actually lots of luxury cars offer leatherette as an option. Told that to the audi salesman I was talking about, he gave me a blank stare and again disagreed with me, but whatever.......

Yes, it is real leather. It had better be real as it's an $2100 upgrade from cloth. There is no leatherette option offered anymore.

Well the leather that we do have, was a no charge option... so clearly it isnt going to be real. If you didnt pay for it, then you shouldn't complain... the cloth seats are of very high quality, you should have gotten them.
