most 2.8s come with real leather, are you sure you don't have it too?

the leatherette isn't so great, IMO... mine has a tear, and it is starting to tear, well, I can tell that it will soon tear, in another place as well... real leather IS more durable, if you ask me. (if you maintain it)

heres what i think ... real leather feels softer and is alot better ! even smells nice ... but it gets nicks and scrapes in it alot easier ... BUT it doesnt wear and tear if you take care of it like the pleather does ... no matter what you do to pleather eventually it will tear and rip , thats what i've learned over the years .... so get real leather and take care of it with some of thos moist wipes and your set for a long hall ! ...

Yeah, I pretty much agree with all said in the above post. I just dont like those wipes -- but something sure has to be done to keep leather up to snuff! I guess the wipes are easy as hell to use, so people will actually use them. I guess that makes 'em OK in my books... I still use the stuff in the bottle. One bottle of cleaner, and another for conditioner.

Yes, it is real leather. It had better be real as it's an $2100 upgrade from cloth. There is no leatherette option offered anymore.

That would about explain why it is real leather these does huh?
Unfortunately Audi do seem to be heading down the path of BMW and a few other German manufacturers where, if you want the real luxury you have to really pay for it. Sad but True. But Jest.... your car would not look the same with cloth. I think it's worth every cent.

Jest , you are saying that it is 100% real leather in the B7's ?
I doubt that.

Just wait until it starts to crack... it isnt nearly as flexible as real leather, so over time, it cracks. Usually at a seam, at either the seat, or side bolsters.
