Default Polished stock rims

Has anyone ever had their stock rims polished similar to these in the picture and had nice results? Mine have curb rash and the paint is really looking terrible, wanted to know how well they will polish up... will they get to a chrome type of appearance?

Thanks for any information.

you can polish any rim. I dont know if it would be worth the money, you could probably just get another set of rims. But im not too educated in the whole "polishing" business. But it can definately be done.

The Audi A8 uses the same style of wheel, but in 17"... and it has a higher polish finish. I actually like them... I often thought that your style of wheel (the ones in the picture) where the nicest stock wheels the A4 came with (other than the RS4's in 2001). I sorta like the swings now, though... Anyways, it's already been said. You could polish them to a high near chrome finish, but it'd be fairly expensive, and you'd still have 16's... If you are partial to the stockish look, and want something a little shinier (dont go chrome, though) then check out the A8 wheels I mentioned.

Why not just have them dipped in chrome by some place that knows what they're doing??
If you're anywhere near SoCal, I have a place that will get the cores, dip them, and warranty them for the life of the wheel for approx. $400 or less.....total.
I did it with my "M" racing wheels which are light-weight alloys when I had my BMW. I was considering it with the Audi I just got, but the wheels are already so good looking, I decided against it.
Here's a pic of the BMW Wheels.
