Default Is this possible?

Ill admit i didnt search for it, just because i doubt its ever been covered.. If im wrong you can light my *** on fire.. But...
Is there a way to hook up the alarm so that when it gets set off, the horn can also honk with it?? I left my windows down after I parked it at home and set the alarm.. I turned down the interior sensors with vag com to the lowest setting... God forrbid the wind blows the wrong way and the car thinks its getting raped.. ANYWAY.. The alarm is puny and annoying like a weak fart... I want the horn to go off as well so that someone more than 10 ft away can actually hear it (like a decent fart).. Is there a way to jump a wire in the fusebox? Is it that easy?

Maybe vag com?

you could remove the siren from the system and fit a separate horn in its place or link both together but not to the cars horn, the older cars had the horn instead of the siren

I dont think its as easy as a jump wire or vag but im sure it can be done with not to many problems all its doing is making a siren go so it you hook the horn up to that same thing it will work

maybe im wrong.. probably but... i think my alarm does use the horn? its a 99.5.. its pretty loud..has the same sound as my horn.. i was on the driving range today.. probably a couple hundred yards away from my car.. and i could hear it going off pretty easily.. yes.. i left the windows cracked and i guess a bug flew in or something..

anyway.. good luck with figuring it out ... like avant80 said.. your best bet is probably getting a louder siren

get a new siren/horn (higher db) from meijer and replace it. you remember where the honk are on my car. behind the front bumber passenger side.

I hate my alarm too.. it is too weak...

This should do it;

For an older B5, the alarm does use the horn. It should use both. The main (which is actually two horns itself... but we wont get into that) and then the secondary that is in the rear of the car. I am not sure of the 2000 and up - haven't looked at my car to see.

Pretty much all of them use a horn located in the trunk. It should be fairly loud. If yours is that quite, it may be bad. You might want to try a replacement.
