Default is it possible?

anyone ever think about switching out the 2.8l engine with something a little more powerful? possibly a 4.2l? [sm=badbadbad.gif] or any other engine that might sound a lil more reasonable... dont really know anything at all about the issues that would come up with switching out engines. Probably fitment, ecu, tranny, etc etc. Just curious if it was possibly and why not if it isnt. or why anyone hasnt done it yet if it is.

If you want more power get a supercharger, or nitrous....sh*t, for the kind of money you are talking about you could go BT(on your 2.8)....engine swaps aren't just for hondas! I'd bet right about now just as many nissan conversions are taking place (damn to tokyo drift! I want an sr20det in my 1989 240sx, so that I can push 205 to the crank and drift off the side of a mountain!) you see the car fly off a cliff and then right before the explosion, you hear the BOV one last time!...

i've seen someone swap in a 2.7t into a 2.8 a4.

i've seen someone put a 4.2l V8 into a B5 s4.

there is now someone that is coming out with a VR6 conversion for the 1.8t

and a buddy of mine is as we speak putting on a GT42r onto his 2.8 a4..

so yes, almost anything is possible
