Default Possible Turbo?

Hey all, this is gonna sound nuts, but I was trying to at least fin any mods I can do to my car for kicks and found there is pretty much nothing.... so I started thinking.... I have a background in machining and can build whatever, is it at ALL FEASIBLE to go buy a scrapped (although working) turbo from the 1.8L and build the correct fittings and go with it? I was talking to a friend and he was saying the way the exhaust split, I'd have to put two (so that it'd be a twin turbo). I know there is some chip work to figure out and i'll get to that in time, but I really have no intuition about whether this is POSSIBLE or if it's just crazy. For the time being, let's ignore cost, but it will matter. Thanks, PF

Don't get a K03. If you're gonna do it, do it right. Sounds like a cool idea, though.

^True that^ I often forget these cars need good fuel mapping and such to get them to run correctly, if run at all. Ah, the days of bolting up a supercharger to a car that is mechanically carbeurated is no more.
