Yeah, it would annoy me too. Luckily I bought mine at CarMax with an extended warranty so if mine breaks they'll fix it. Which way did you turn the ***? The manual says to do it one way, I've managed to do it both ways, although it didn't feel right.

The little round button that you can tilt up/down to move the mirror. Just push down on it and twist it to the right about 90 degrees. There is a little picture underneath the **** with a mirror and a little arow. Not sure if all cars have it though
Hey Lopster,

you have an 02 A4 right? Is it the sport model? I also have an 02 A4 and just ran out to see if I have that feature and.... I don't. I don't have the sport model and I have manually folded in my left mirror. The little **** *does* go down but not allot so I'm wondering if it's just the way that button is made and not actually depressable. Can you take a pic of the little drawing by your mirror controls.... Just so I can compare it to what I have here.

Cheers

On the A4 B5 it was an optional extra in Canada and I would think for the B6 too I have one for my B5 just waiting for the other.

As to whats wrong it could be the switch.

Mine is 04 and has fold in feature. I always fold them in when I parked in the garage because my garage is a bit narrower than average. Well... check your control **** (the one adjust mirrors), push it down a little when you turn to fold mirrors in. I had the same problem before and realized sometimes the control **** does not "bite in" so you only turned the **** not the control underneath.

Hey Lopster. Thanks for doing that. I had a look at mine and I don't see any little drawing that would indicatea fold in feature but if you still want to post a pic it would be helpful. Oh well... Folding in the mirrors manually will build stronger arms lol.

Mine doesn't have that feature. Could it be available only on Canadian models?
