Default Power Loss 1 week after chipping

I chipped my car last Monday and it felt very strong..(nice low end with a slightly eratic top end..ie tonnes of power)... however now it feels sluggish..the turbo seems to whistle sometimes (it seems to be doing it's stuff)..and then at others it doesn't seem to come on...

Is it normal to experience DV failure after 1 week?... What DV should I get to replace it if this is the case.. i'm looking to confirm my assumption that my DV would be crap ..but not sure. i've got 14000 km on the vehicle at this time..

any help greatly appreciated before I start chasing DVs.

Thanks!

Hayes

you could get a forge DV or an OEM 710N for like $40 at the dealer.

yea, if you're running the stock dv then that's your problem....forged dvs are expensive, if all you plan on doing is the chip, then just get a 710N...

I used the REVO reprogramming....through Cedarbrae VW in Scarborough, ONtario...went well... seems to be very powerful in comparision to before....

i think i will upgrade moving forward though..injectors... exhaust..and evbentually bigger turbo..i'm just trying to work my way in slowly to get an understanding of the car.

I love the torque now.

if you plan on getting a bigger turbo, you might as well get a good forged DV now, because the 710N probably isn't enough for a K04....no point in replacing it twice....
