Ok so the 99.5 and below use the vr6 and the 2000 and 2001 use the TT 225 maf housing? Can the 2001 use the VR6, because that's what I just bought.

yes you can use the VR6 MAF

I really have no luck on this BT story... Dealer does not have VR6 MAf [&:]

I'll get the part number off of my vr6 maf housing when I get home and PM it to you. They are $15 new.
