Looks like youhave the correct harness from Metra. It should be a 70-1787 . Read the white instruction slipthat came with the harness carefully!!
For non-Bose systems, the factory rear speakers are powered by a small ampilfier . Therefore you have to use the RCA Lead connections ( rear pre-out) to power the amplifier. The Green and Purple Male RCA's on the Metra harnees connect the the Red and White female RCA Leadson you HU.
You have to connect the Blue\White wire on the Metra harness to the Blue wire on your HU ( usually a separate insulated spade connector ). This blue wire is usually maked as Amp Remote or Power Antenna. If you don't connect these two wires....your rear amp won't switch on.
Note that the factory amp is abysmal. You will get rear sound now...but it may beweak. Depending on HU, you may have to crank in a lot of rear fader. Most HU pre-outs are 2v.Some Hi end units have 4v pre-outs as well. If you have 4v pre-outs for rear RCA's...use those. Read the HU manual for specs.
Now foramplified rear antenna. Youhave to buy a European antenna adapter. Two types are available from Metra. A 40-VW10 and a 40-VW53 ( foramplified antenna's). Most people tell you to buy the 40-VW53...which costs $14 to $20. But all you really need is the 40-VW10 ( $2.95 from my wholesaler)......and to carefully read the instructions!!
There is a separate blue wire provided in the Metra 70-1787 harness kit. Most people don't know what this is for and just chuck it.Buuuuuttttt.....If you read the instructions carefully, you plug this into the Metra harness just above theyellow wire.Connect the other end of this wire to the Blue wire on the HU side. The same blue wire that turns on the Factory Amp for the rear speakers.
This will now power the antenna amplifier....without having to use the more expensive 40-VW53 antenna adapter.
If you have a Bose ampified system, use the White and Gray RCA's connected to the front pre-outs on your HU ( not all HU's have these...but it looks like yours does from pic ) and the Purple\Grenn RCa's to the rear speaker pre-outs. All other connections are the same.
Hope this helps.
Edit: If you've removed the rear speakers and are usingaftermarket rear speakers, then you have to run new speaker wires to the HU and connect them directly to the HU rear speaker wires as per HU mfg's instructions. Metra 70-1787 kit is very nice...but is meant as a direct plug in for factory speaker system only.
Looks like you got it figured out anyhoo....
