Probls we all went through & need yall help?
Hey
I have a 2000 A4 Turbo Quattro & a longtime I been having problem with the symphany radio & I tried everything from bying another Symphany I radio at the dealer to chaning different wires every other wks. But now I decided to just go with an aftermarket radio & I got my eyes on an Nice ALpine CDA but my qeustion is, where I can buy an aftermarket kit that will fit that huge space in the radio. does any one have any other ideas for where to mount this. or better yet, does any one have any pics of their aftermarket radio. Website on would be great & that might ease my worries or give me some idea about the final product. thanks alot.

Some of the probls are I have no AM frequency & FM I can barely hear what's playing on the stations. But one problem that i find when I pulled the HU was my antenna wire was cut meanin the antenna is not connected to the back of the radio. So I bought an harness at the dealer to make the connection & I can still hear the static with no AM Station. Some places told me the fact that your antenna wire was cut u cannot connect or sauder new wire together u have to get that antenna re-wire throughout the whole car which will cost me thousand of $$$. Other places want to put a long ugly antenna on the back of the car which I'm not going for, because it makes the car really ugly driving by so like I said my problems are getting only bad with no solutions so that y I decided to go with an aftermarket radio. But hopefully that solve my problem with good radio frequency.

Good point you making but I still want an aftermarket radio. And How many CD's u can listen to in one year. I don't buy CD like so I like listening to the radio it can be very frustrated sometimes trying to hear something & the static won't let u.

Ice>link Plus. Throw an iPod in there and you don't have to worry about it.
Also, if they *need* to re-run your antenna, there is nothing saying thay have to have it in the same location as your stock antenna. Why cant they just run it along the bottom of your dash or under the floor trim etc. Hell tack it to the body of the car and use the panels as your "coat hanger" type solution :P works for the old TVs hehe
