It's making a ticking sound and I'm not too sure as to what it actually does or if I need it. I suppose I'm going to replace it but it would be great if someone could give me some insight as to what it's there for.

 

i could be on drungs, but is this the valve that when looking at the engine compartment form the front of the car is on the top left aorund the top of the airbox? if it is, that is supposed to tick. it means its working

 

that's exactly what I'm talking about. I figured that it was supposed to tick, but it was exeptionally loud at the time.

 

hmm, iono then. all i know is if it stops ticking, then i need to worry lol

 

Thats the N80 valve, when it goes it will throw a fault, so don't worry about it.
