Default Put a 30v head on the 12v what ya think

Hey i was thinkin of throwin the 30v head on my 12v and throwing in some cams while I'm at it, maybe do some polishing and basic build up of the engine. I figured since I don't have the cash money to dump into a supercharger or anything like that, i was thinkin of just building up the engine... and i was hopeing to release some hp since it's hard to get it out of this engine.

So what ya think?? I'm pretty sure the head'll work but lemme know if you think different. I was thinkin of hitting up some junk yards and stuff for one or else puttin up a post

umm no it wont work.. im pretty sure that the block has a slight variation so that you cant just bolt the heads on they wouldnt line up..

im not sure if the heads will fit but you wont really see much hp gains if they do. doing this would be fun though....

heck ya it'd be fun..... maybe not the horsepower gains you can get for the 1.8t but it'd still add some serious kick, especially with still being naturally aspirated.... at least it'd be something fun for the V6 [sm=drooldude.gif]

ah damm!t i guess thatd be kind of a sign, if the gaskets are different then there's no real hope.... my friend's thinkin about doin a 2.0 with a 1.8 head in a jetta.... gti's run 10's with em... so we'll see what he does, it just got me all excited to research a 30v in my car..... i think i might look a little deeper into it with specific specs and stuff cause it'd be tight to open her up a little.
