Quattro to FWD just to Dyno???
Ok,
I am wanting to dyno my car, however the closest AWD dyno center is about 5hrs away. I have heard that you can disable either the front or rear wheels for a short amount of time. Has anyone done this or know how to do it? Like I said, it is only to Dyno the car. Not drive around for a long time. Thanks.

i dont think disableing the rear wheels would be effective. most likely all they will to is remove the axles and the drive shaft will still be spinning.if so your dino wont be accurate because some of the power will still go through the rear drive shaft

ya your dyno wont be accurate if you do what you are trying to do. Your center diff and mid/rear axles eat up a bit of your whp which wouldnt be represented in the dyno results if you disable those things.. Why do you want to dyno it anyway? What mods do you have?

To answer the question about why I want to dyno it. The InMotion Tuning company is giving me a free tune if I will run a before and after dyno so they can use it as advertising! And the dyno is the Shellys Performace Dyno Center. Look it up on yellow pages. It's in Spokane.
