I would go with black paint and then put white audi ring decals. (which can be found on egay). That would look amazing. black on black with white ring decals

I am going to paint my calipers this weekend. My avant is blue and I am gonna paint my calipers grey/gunmetal or something like that. I like that idea of the audi rings too. I think there is a DIY on it on this site or audizine. All I know is that you shouldn't paint them red. IMO red is for bling or if you REALLY have a brakde upgrade. I wouldn't want to draw attention to my brakes, just ot have the onlooker realize that I just have reglular old stock brakes. Thats my thoughts. Post some pics when you are done ... I will do the same!

Your thoughts are correct.

generally this is how i like to look at it:

1. Red - Only if you buy a Big Break Kit (BBK) (ex. stoptech) Red on stock calipers is so overused nowadays taht it just makes the car ugly.
2. Black/Yellow/Silver - Awesome to use on your stock brakes. Especially black and yellow , even for BBK. Ive seen few silver Stage 3 S4's with Yellow BBK and they were amazing.

Ofcorse this is just my opinoin, at the end of the day one should do as one sees best.
