Default Question About Vag-Com

I'm waiting on my cable to come in...it should be here in a few days. but I was wondering if someone could tell me how to set up my remote so that I can roll my windows up and down. I'm using Ross-Tech version 409.

there you go, just make sure u have the Default number just in case you mess up.
when you finish doin this "lil mod" you will find you have to hold the unlock/lock button 5-10 seconds for it to roll up and down ur windows, im still tryin to find the one that opens the sunroof.

Advantage = being able to take logs of different area's of your car - for example - measure O2 sensors of your MAF to see if it is the reason you are having a problem. or if you just get the simple (shareware) version you can reset CEL's and other dash lights. It saves you from paying $100's every time you have a CEL and need to go to the dealer

Get one off of Ross-tech.com or order a cheap cable off of ebay and pay $99 for the licence

Laptop $80
Ebay cable $20
License for 3.11 $99

Having the ability to get info from virtually every sensor on the car - Priceless

you can get a nice used touchscreen laptop on ebay that will run vagcom just fine, 500-800mhz demending on how much you want to spend, prices from $100 to $300, vagcom is designed like a point of sale system to be touch screen friendly.
