question for those who are already lowered their a4*s
I race a circle track stock car, and Eibach springs are a good spring. I don't run them personally, but know many guys that do. I run Hypercoils and Afco springs in my race car. If I was going to do a C/O setup in my A4 I wouldn't hesitate to run Eibach. Also, how can a spring be for show and no go??? It either is what it says it is or it isn't (if it isn't, they probably would be out of business by now). If in doubt, get it rated, we do it all the time with our race springs. If you want, check out my site, we don't race junk.

I had a 2000 A4 quattro with the neuspeed race spring you speak of. I had Bilstein shockes installed with them. Totally rocked! Nicknamed it velcrocar. Ride was a bit rough at times, but only on crappy roads. You must be very careful though on speed bumps, incline/declines out of parking lots and driveways. If I had it to over again, I would do adjustable coilovers or the sport springs and Bilsteins.
os the only complaint you have is that its too low for the road. but i live in south jersey the roads are smooth and there are few bumbs. also weight wise can you have more then couple people when your car is lowered?? your tires wont touch the fenders or anythings right?
I have neuspeeds racer springs and bilstien sport stuts and wouldn't trade them for coilovers, best setup ever. I have a friend with an s4 and coilovers in it and hate the way it rides, I don't think it can corner as well either.

And surprisingly, It feels almost like stock! Just a little stiffer because of the spring rates and it's not bouncy at all.
I set it like this so the passengers in my car don't feel a difference and I don't end up trying to drive hard and doing something stupid.
I will set the damping to the hardest later on when I get other things going.
I've got Bilstein B12 kit on my 1.8T 96'. It is stiff, lower about 3cm, suitable for city or hightway. Handling of a car is much better now. Make sure you have a standard kit for winter. Now I think it would be better to use coilovers. So you can lower for summer and raise for winter.
How often to all of you with coilovers adjust them? I had coilovers on my GTI but never adjusted them. The handling was great but I never took full advantage of their adjustment capabilities so I figure I should just go with a shock/spring combo.
I also live in New England where there is quite a bit of snow. I don't want the car to be slammed.
