Default Questions about HID

ok so when i got my car it had an HID kit on it
took it to Audi and they claimed it to be an audi system
Though i don't have any information on where it came from

well i took some pictures
the car also has VALEO 1-pc headlights

the bulbs currently in it are 6000k EagleEye

why aren't my headlights as strong as a new car? its 6000k and still in comparison the newer cars with the HID kits are soo much stronger and theirs is stock, the headlights have the projectors on it. what's the big deal? I was thinking about putting 8000k blubs on it but i wan't some bright *** blubs! i could barely see the ground when it was raining last night and driving next to a bmw or a new acura, their bulbs were soo much stronger

I just bought ecodes and 5000k HID kit. I will get it all done tomorrow and i tell u how it is. Panda could be right or u could need to re aim ur headlights. It also could just be time for new bulbs. I would go with 5000k personally. They have great light output and are white with a lil blue

Panda i like the new sig

I have hella Generation 4 ballasts with OEM phillips bulbs. There is only a bluish tint when I first turn them on but it fades to a bright white soon after. I love the lights. Not as much of a "show" as the BMW lights or after market 6000k, but much more usable light. I'm very happy with them.

As far as your ballasts go, they aren't OEM for valeo lights. OEM would be the valeo ballasts which mount on the underside of your 1-piece headlight housings.

well my lights had a problem at teh stupid mechanics so now they are keeping my car and i will get it back on monday [:@]. This is what teh guy told me "the job is more than was told to us [umm i gave u a write up of how to do it before u agreed to do it] and it also requires cutting which we did not know about [i told u that to make sure you would be able to do it] and we want to do a good job on it so we will need it until monday." The called me last night saying they needed more time and would do it saturday morning and then call me. I went by at 12 and nobody was there (they are normally closed on weekends) and then around 4 they call saying they had been working and it has taken too long and need even more time. I think tehy didnt wanna have to work on teh weekend so called with that BS. OO well nothing i can do except yell at them on monday about having my car for 3 EXTRA days, and asking for more money off and a apology. I am there at least once a month getting something fixed or new installed, and this month alone i have spent alot of money there.
