Will a 2000 1.8t block with engine code ATW work with my automatic, the block was pulled from manaul

no, the cranks are differnt. You need a tip engine. that is unless you want to swap cranks.

how difficult would it be to swap cranks? I am having trouble finding a tip engine for my car

Not hard for a good engine builder. But then you would be in for about another $500+ in labor and maybe another $200 for a used crank.

99.5 is the last of the AEB. You should have a ATW. A AEB engine would also work

just the ecu and tb. The atw has dbw and the aeb has dbc.
