I was used in the B5 A4's and II in the B6 A4

If you have Bose then it will light up that on the screen when turned on plus the speaker grills will have Bose on them, if not then it just a standard head unit.

i know i have the bose system, thats not the problem. I want to know if it is referred to as Bose by Audi...or if lets say Symphony means Bose, concert means stock...

or vice versa

 

The bose unit came in both Concert format and Sympony so you would have to state you have a Symphony Bose unite or the Concert Bose unit.

 

and how would i know which i have?

Is the symphony out of an A4 interchangeable with one out if an A6? They look exaclty the same but I notice they have different part numbers.

 

They are different sizes and thats the only difference, it will work but not fit.

 

Really? They look the exact same. You sound pretty sure I guess though.

 

You can retro fit it in but they are not the same size. The A6 screen unit is the unit you would use if you wanted the SatNav for your A4 but you would have to mess with it a little but it can be made to fit.
