Hello everybody,

I just have a quick question in reguards to the stock turbo on a 2000 A4. At what rpm's does the turbo really start to kick in? and if I get a chip (APR or GIAC) then what rpm's will the turbo kick in at? Thanks.

The turbo begins to spool up at about 2500 rpm's. Same after chipped.

 

yup 2500rpm...
chip wont help it spool up faster , but you wont be thinking about the lag once the boost kicks.

 

a chip increase the boost from stock and remaps the fuel for the higher boost
