I just bought a 01 1.8 and wanted to upgrade the turbo. There is a guy in my city selling a 2001 K4 022 turbo from a tt for 50 bucks. Here is the catch he says it needs to be rebuilt because something went through the fan blades. Should i buy it? whats the usual cost to rebuild a turbo?

 

Don't bother. 01 is fitted with a K03S from the factory. A K04 will net you -maybe- 5 hp more. It's a worthless upgrade.
