every once in a while. but apparently, the chips on the 1.8 only bring it to somewhere around the hp of the 2.8 anyway. i'd rather have leather seats and more reliability. but turbos are fun, i've had a few.

Not really. Don't have the time, money, desire to mod my car. It is a daily driver and I need it for my work, since I am the boss and pretty much indepensible (though no one ever truly is). I need my car to be reliable and monkeying around with it for a few more horses doesn't make sense for me. But if money was not an issue, I would supercharge it in a minute! And have a backup vehicle for when it breaks down.

the 2.8 is a cruiser with refinement and interior size to relax in,

the 1.8T is a fast style lighter with the refinement but not a cruiser and not as comfy as the 2.8,

if I were younger by say 20 years the 1.8T would be for me but im not and the 2.8 sounds a better deal and they are not slow by any imagination

exactly how i feel, i want a turbo until i rememeber the 1.8t t-belts snap, not enough power stock, and turbo lag is always there. so im pretty happy with my old school N/A. although i woud still take an S4 or RS4 anyday.

I owned my 2.8 for 1-year..... I think the veterans can vouch I was on here 24-7 ALWAYS having issues. That thing was a slow hunk of junk.

I've had my 1.8t since May19th of 06 and (NOT ONE SINGLE MAJOR ISSUE)

--knock on wood.... I never desired turbo tho when i was 2.8
