I have the Escort Passport 8500 x50 - very satisfied with it so far - no tickets - I got it used off of ebay for $220 about a year ago now. If I were looking right now I would check into the Escort 9500i - has a very cool GPS feature so you can tell it were you get false signals and it remembers the location for next time. it is $450 new and I don't think anyone has it yet. Should be out by middle of next month. But for that money I would most likely start looking at the V1.

I believe they did... and couldn't find a reliable one. This topic was already covered to death not too long ago:

I have the escort Solo S2, and I really like it. I dont turn it on every time I get into the car, and I use lithium batteries so they last 2-3 Months. Just keep an extra pair in the car, just in case. I thought about the 8500, it has a longer range on the X & K Band, but I travel frequently so I bring it with me into the rental cars [8D].

The new 9500i is going to be $450, so for that money just get the V1. Plus, the first time around with that GPS system might be a nightmare.

And Scramblers/Jammers, well they might work, but you're screwed if you pass a 5-0 and they dont get a reading, because they will just pace you and give you a ticket anyway.

Bottom Line - Dont drive like an ***, dont turn the highway into a superspeedway andbe nice to the cops when you get pulled over. Trust me, 10 times being pulled over and I have never gotten a ticket.
