V1 is also the only detector I know of that gives you sensors on the front and back of the detector to help show you where to look for the signal.

It'll tell you how strong the signal is, when your in range and an arrow in the direction of the signal. This gives you plenty of time to react and drop speed before you actually get busted.

i have the passport 8500 and IMO this is the best choice. it always works with the least false alarms

Yea, when I bought my V1, I looked into the 8500, but the indicating arrow's on the V1 are worth the extra cash, I like to know where the cops are.

i also have the 8500, i wanted the v1. but due to me working in retail and getting the 8500 for 150$ i couldnt justify spending the extra 300 bucks or so for the v1
