Default Radiator Fan Always on

Hi All,

I have a A4, 2000 and had a problem with the engine heat sensor. Since than the radiator fan is always on, from the minute you start the car. Any idea what needs to be done to get it to operate normally again as I had the sensor replaced.

I second that. Same problem on my week old B7. Ended up being the relay.

^^^^^If both those repairs don't fix your car you need a fan control module mate.

Thanks guy's. The engine heat sensor was changed, so I need to look in to the relay. Is this something easily done and replaced by an amateur?

Have you replaced the relay? Was the problem fixed? I currently have the same problem and was thinking that I probably messed up with the sensor and relays when I did my audi 5000 radiator replacement last week. Or it might be just a coincidence. I’m planning to bring it to a shop tomorrow but hoping to find solution here before I get to spend so much for the repair, and in the end regret, knowing that there might be a cheaper way to fix it, by myself. So, I hope you could post the update eddy121. Thanks!

Hi Jackiesh,

Sorry, no solution yet. I did not get a chance to work on the car yet. See I am in Ireland and as you might have seen we have horrible rain for the past few weeks so no weather to do it yet.

Once I atempt it and see the result I will post the update, however if you have your's done before let me know at least wich direction to go with so it will save some time at least.

Thanks!

eddy121,

Okey. I'll post mine as soon as I get to find the way to fix it before you do.
