Radiator Fan LOUD

is this normal? if my A/C is on, my radiator fan is on high. always. they go hand-in-hand. its been like that since i bought the car at 60k miles 3 months ago. are all A4's like this or should i get this thing fixed? it is FREAKIN LOUD

Mine does the same thing... I think it even does it when the heat is on also.

anyone else seeing the same thing or is it just the two of us?

i still dont know if its a 'problem' or just a loud car.

I've had friends of mine call it the jet engine. The thing is loud as hell. Mine is really loud.

Mine is only loud in the summer specially when the AC is on and temps are over 32°C.My dad drives a Opel Vectra and his radiator fan is loud,but nothing compared to mine Audi.

so is the fan automatically on high if thge A/C is on for all of you too? is there a quieter one that can be purchased? i hate sitting at stoplights and i cant hear anything over my damn radiator fan haha

mine did that rite before the a/c fan burnt out and my a/c comprssor seized up so if i was you i would get that check out asap

From what i understand from your post this is normal

The fan comes on with the A/C because the condensor needs airflow for the a/c to function

It would also come on with the heater if you happen to have it in the defrost positon

My does the same thing when the a/c is on, i just got my car about two months age, now its starting to get a little chilly out and it goes on also with the heat, what i understand is that the car has a clutch fan witch is on all the time when the car is on, the only time the electric fan comes on is when the a/c or heat is on which is what we here. the thing that my car does is that when i first turn the car on the fan kicks on for a couple off seconds then goes off, i think it is just doing a self test, do this happen to you guys?
