So I want to flush my radiator myself because my fluid is brown, I have a Bentley manual but it says there are special tools I need that go on top of the expansion tank to refill the system. Another assembly tool for the spring clips to put the clip back on the engine coolant temp sensor I guess. Has anyone done this before and do I really if I really need these? Im new to Audi’s and have done this before on my GM cars but not on any import like this. Thanks.

 

No, you don't really need the special tools. The bentley says: To fill expansion tank without special tools, remove expansion tank and temporarily raise it about 100 mm.
