I've made some major work done on in engine of my 1998 A4
anyway it's come back to me with the radio stuck in safe mode , and i haven't got the code for it ( it's been ripped out of the manual )

and i've heard alot of people say the codes on the label in the tyre well in the boot ,
but theres loads of numbers on there , can anyone help ??

is this the right label ??? as it's the only one there .....

I've tried 2923 , 1289 , 8958 , 7023 , 2895 and non of these work

 

Sorry, can't help ya with your picture, but if you can't end up finding it, your local dealer should be able to get it for you the code if you bring in your VIN.

The radio code is 4 numbers.
So its either 2923 or 1289

thats if the radio code is even on the label (I have never verified that). Just noticed your EDIT above. I guess you SOL, man. Have to go to dealer with VIN number. Some dealers charge, some dont.

Where exactly did you find that label? If its in the wheel well it should have the radio code - the dealer is supposed to put that there.

I'm betting 1289 is your code. Did you get it wrong several times in a row? Then you have to wait for an hour to try again.

 

It may also be in your manual on a little sticker.

 

I took the car to audi dealers , they want £40 +vat , and i have to book it in next wednesday , crap hey

so anyway i've took the radio out and there's this code on it AUZ5Z3V0025837 , model no. 4B0 035 186 , can the code be found from this ????

 

would be pretty dumb to put the radio security code on the radio now wouldnt it...
do you write your PIN# on your ATM card?
