and yes, those things are fast. The track conditions sucked, he was running low 14s, and i ran high 14s on pump. It was close off the line but it pulls HARD when he hit 3rd.I switched to race gas after i ran and the car pulled so much harder, launched better and over pulled ALOT harder, didnt get a chance to run it tho.. I think if i would have been running sauce it would have been alot closer.



Btw- I beat a srt4 too, but it was strictly a bad driver, atleast i hope.

 

exactly what track are we talking? 1/4 mile? cos it would have to be snowing and the track made of ice for an STi to run that **** poor time. He also must of been not a great driver.
IMO anyway... having run STi's before and everything.... Unless you get a different STi than us?

 

I believe only the 05+'s STi's run mid 13s. The older models should be in the high 13s, low 14s.

 

track must have really been bad, on paper (R&T, C&D, SCC) sti's run 13.2 1/4's. down at maple grove on a grudge night i have seen some stock ones run in the mid to low 13's and some modded ones in the 12's. they are serious track monsters.

 

..you should see the ******* on a circuit! Not alot can stick to them. Evo's and skylines and exotica are pretty much the only things that get past them!

STIs are still fast

 

they're undoubtably fast....I'm seriously contemplating an 05.

For the price, ~$32K, with 0 miles on it. It's well worth it. My test drive was very entertaining.

 

You sure it was an STI, thats WRX times and there are alot of WRX - STI wanna be out there, then again my best friend traded trunks and hoods with a 2.5rs to make it look a little like a sleeper. Otherwise it was a horable driver. My best friends STI ran a 13.1 with good weather ~50-55 degrees and a good launch. With a full exhaust CAT's removed ran a 12.8's and with a turboXS utech, turboXS FMIC on 110oct ran a 12.5 and spun through 1st and missed 4th it was ~40 degrees out and he didn't lower the tire pressure and was runnig winter tires.

 

Yes im sure it was a sti. There were modded srt4s there running low 14s also. This was at beaver springs drag way. Im not saying the driver was a pro, im just saying the times he was running.
