Raped at the stealership
So I went to have an alarm w/ remote start installed on my 2000 audi a4 1.8t quattro, and was notified by the installers that I needed a second key that monuts under the dash in order for the remote start to work. So on to the AUDI dealership, I figured a second key would be $100-$150 max. Its just a key. Nope $300, or I could get the non flip out valet key in which caas it would only be $200. $200 for the VALET KEY. OMG my azz hurt after getting that done. All I know is that this alarm better rock cuz I can think of about a million other things for my car that $200 woul dhave been better spent on
second owner bought from private seller, dude lost all his keys but one. where did you get it for $40, i'll go back and stab the service dept lady in the neck with this if I can find another one that chaep (note to my fellow audi owners this is sarcasm, I do not intend to harm anyone) so yeah she is definately stabbed. haha

Yeah. Pick up one with the Same FCC ID on eBay, get a Key blank on eBay for $5 and then have it cut at a Locksmith for $5 and then prgrm it yourself, assuming you have an '01 or older or somewhere around that year break. As long as you don't have an Immobolizer. you're golden.
well it is $100 for the key and $100 for it to be programed to your car
also good luck with getting the ebay keys and finding a place that will cut them I have turned down a few and I charge $30 to cut it if it looks ok o yes then it will still have to be programed so that $100 comes back into play there so really you are only saving $30 and that $40 is also not including shipping I bet
