Had my baby for a little over a month now. GOOD NEWS is that I've had no problems as of yet, however, just yesterday I started hearing a rattling noise coming from underneath the car. I already checked the engine and it's coming from no where near there so we're okay with that. I just know it's somewhere under the car. It's a '99 2.8 Tip. I'm thinking of getting it checked out but feel like it's something I could possibly fix.

Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Im sorry let me add a bit more info.. It's only when I accelerate. Idling or just cruising is fine. It begins to rattle especially when I first start out from first.

 

heat shield on the exhaust very common

 

def sounds like exhaust get under there, and see if maybe heat shield or one of the hangers is loose
