Hmmm....that might be why my friend's 1994 S4 has only ever has its driver side rear fog light on too... maybe we should stop bugging him about that. Can someone confirm/deny?

Think about it...driving in fog, someone comes up to you. They see TWO bright red lights. OH **** THEY ARE SLAMING ON THERE BREAKS. BAMM, and they get rear ended. With it only on the drivers side it gives you some idea it isent break ligts.

Well, if it were me, I would simply think that the car with one bright light in back had a broken brake light. Think about the amount of cognitive energy most Americans put towards driving. In between talking on his cell phone, dicking around with his radio, throwing back a Big Mac and text messaging on his other cell phone, the average Joe America does not differentiate between one bright light and two bright lights in front of him. He is having a good day if he even looks up and sees a light ahead of him in the fog. He does not register that one light might mean something different than two lights.
Besides, people drive with their asses in the fog anyway. They are going too slow to catch up with me and think about the different meanings of one versus two bright lights. Fog reminds them of the horror movies of their youth, and they become subconsciously apprehensive. Scary **** comes out of fog. Mummies, vampires and especially werewolves and serial killers. It's a constant.

wow yuikio you are making quite the generalization there, I do agree with some of your thoughts but you cant put that on all americans

Also it is ment mostly for european cars. I believe that it is a gov. regulation that DR tail must have a fog light. I know that all honda and acura cars shipped to europe must have fogs in the DR tail.
