Daughter has a 2008 A4 Quattro with rain sensor under the mirror. She hit a pot hole and the mirror popped off the glued on windshield bracket. I saw a couple YouTube videos where I should be able to slide the mirror onto the bracket and turn it clockwise to lock it into place. But this does not seem to be working for me. It acts as if the three spring tangs that engage the bracket are bent and not catching the bracket slot.

Before I end up breaking the windshield as some have, and start bending mounting tangs, I wanted to check in here to see if there is something I'm missing.
