Im going to get my B6 tinted real soon, now that it is gettign really warm, i called and got a quote for 20% all around and i was wondering if it makes any difference if the rear was single Peice or if it needs to be done in Peices. he quoted me about 210 plus Tax, good price if you ask me. Jsut wondering if it will affect anything like the radio or rear defogs, i know i have to ask about the tint any way to see if it will affect radio but i was wondering about window tint size and such.

 

well they should know the size of what they need and everything.
IMO on my last car i had 20's all around and it wasnt quiteeeee dark enough, so i'm getting 15%.
They should also know whether or not it would mess up your radio. i can't imagine it messing up the radio at all but the rear defogger i could see them maybe having a problem applying it.
He's probably going to do it in pieces, i've never seen a sheet of tint big enough to cover a full rear window.

 

classicautowash.net actually see them cutting tint in huge peices they have it on a computerized cutting machine cuts matched perfect actaully makes tinting easier. But if you search the Forums youll see there is tint that can interfer with the radio reception onteh audi since my car ahas the antenna inthe rear window.

i have 20% i believe..its was on the car when i bought it..but i dont have any issues with the radio..(honestly dont know what it would have to do with the signal..please enlighten me) and the rear defrost works good.i think you will only have an issue with the rear defrost is if you decide to take it off..if you do take it off have a professional do the rear..because it will peel off the wires on the window.
