well my k04 has alot of shaft play and is leaking a ton of oil, my question is where can i find a rebuild kit and has anyone actually rebuilt a k04? also i was wondering if i could just use my k03 housing for less down time on my car.

You can rebuild them just get a new cartridge or maybe just the seals and bearings, I think you would have to talk to a turbo specialty shop..... I have rebuilt a couple t3's but never a k04 and I have just gone to a local diesel performance shop to get the parts

i found a place on ebay that sells em for 95.00 and they offer a rebuild service.....after looking at there diagram of the turbo, i dont think it would be as easy as i thought.

no warrenty on the K04

bought it used about a year ago........during my testing last summer with the atp 3 inch maf i was hitting around 30 psi(hehe)so that probally shortend its life pretty good.

Yea there not too bad but you have to know what your doing to rebuild them, When I did the t3's my dad was helping me and he knows everything there is to know about cars so that helps out..... The rebuilds aren’t that expensive, just be sure to do it before you clip your impeller on the turbo housing and ruin that too

Where did you find the rebuild kit for the K04? Please don't just say Ebay. I searched when I got my K04 and didn't find anything. What does it include?

yea i found the rebuild kit on ebay....wuts it matter? it inculdes everything u need for a rebuild.

There is nothing wrong with ebay..... yea there is some junk but more often than not the stuff is legit and people are just trying to sell their product..... ebay is the ****
