Any recommended gas ? Are they all the same ?

I just make sure to use 91 octane or higher. It really doesn't matter to me which station it is.

most stations around me in ny only have 89 and 93. i use 93 all the time, in your gas door it will say the recomended grade. gas from "Stewart's Shop's" i did once and my CEL came on the code said that my number 2 cylander was running lean or rich i cant remember, regardless i ran all the gas out and filled up at sunoco, 5 miles later the light went off and hasent come back on. NEVER get gas from a station within 100 yards of a river or lake, the water will eventually get into their tanks and ruin your car. In wallkill, ny along the wallkill river there are 2 stations they are constantly sending cars from their station to the local shop to get the gas tank drained.

I run 91 thats the best they have in my state. Also they have a Brochure at the dealer that will give a list of companys that are appropriate for your car.

i always use 91 octane never less. Also the guys around me swear by Shell gas and to be honest it reduces the knocking in my car that i tend to get when using Chevron

i always use 93 in mine and go to a Shell whenever i can (Shell actually sponsors audi race cars like the R10https://www.audiforums.com/micons/m16.gif )

I used 87 the first six months I had the car - then moved to 93. If for some reason I don't find 93 ... I buy 89 for just what I need then. My mileage and performance both have improved since I moved to 93. So cost wise they even out as well ... I mean, 93 doesn't cost more overall and thus certainly is a better choice. I say go with premium.

it doesn't really matter what octane you use. 87, 89, 91.

all of them are the same, except the highter the octane the harder it is to burn, if you use too low of an octane it can cause your engine to start pinging, which isn't good for your car. if your car doesn't ping at 87, then put 87.

Shell 91 octane. If they had 93 in CA, that's what I'd be using.

Well, not all gas is the same. Some are 10% ethanol, which doesn't have as much engery as 100% gasoline, and will give you slightly poorer gas mileage. Off brand gas may only have the minimal amount of detergent compared to "name brand". Over the long term this may increase buildup on the valves and injectors.
